How to Use This
Making the checklist your own
- Ask the groom directly what he actually wants from you - a hands-on co-planner or a calm, present friend, or something in between.
- Delete anything that doesn't apply to your specific wedding, and add anything specific to his.
- Anchor each task to a timeframe rather than a fixed date, so the list still makes sense if the engagement runs long or short.
- Revisit the list every few weeks rather than trying to finish it in one sitting.
- Share the wedding-day section with the groom's day-of coordinator or planner so your responsibilities are visible to whoever's running the schedule.
For a deeper walkthrough of each responsibility and how to handle the trickier parts of the role, see the Best Man duties timeline guide.
