How to Use This
Assigning responsibilities well
- List every responsibility that needs a named owner, not just the obvious ones like rings and toasts - guest book, gifts, and family-wrangling all count.
- Assign each responsibility to a specific person, not just a role - 'a bridesmaid' is vaguer and less useful than 'Jess'.
- Write it down and share it at least a week before the wedding, not the morning of, so people have time to ask questions.
- Give everyone visibility into the full matrix, not just their own row - it helps people understand how their piece fits the larger day.
- Revisit the matrix once more the week of the wedding to confirm nothing changed and nobody dropped off.
